Design... some people say it is just about crayons and coloring on a piece of paper. That it is an easy, fun job where you just play all day. Well part of that is true. But the other part not so much. As it may seem to “non-art people” we just deal with lots of colors, shapes and images, but to get that perfect result there’s a whole science behind it. If you don’t have the right typeface or the image does not quite fit the message that needs to be told; then the design does not work and you have to start over at square one. We, as designers have to think outside the box, and that is when inspiration comes to play. Art comes in many forms. You can simply look at a leaf on the ground, a pattern from a fabric, how the pillows are sitting perfectly on a couch or even just by accident you stumble across a unique object and from that something sparks the mind to open up and a design starts to be created. All these things come into play and can inspire ones mind and make that perfect design come to life. When I need inspiration I take a trip through the virtual land, and here are a few things that can make my mind start to explore the possibilities of what one may call “Art”.
